Week Two: Sacral Chakra Yoga
Divine Energy

The Sacral Chakra is the energy center responsible for your feelings of gratification, guilt, desire, and sexuality. When this energy is unbalanced, you may be looking outside of yourself for reassurance or answers. Because the sacral is linked to the element of water, a balanced energy here will allow you to be in flow. This means that you do not have to force anything or look outside yourself for validation or reassurance as all of the answers you seek are within and will come to you naturally if you stay in the present moment.
Because the Sacral Chakra sits just below the navel, this yoga practice focuses intensely on the lower back and hips. This practice is physically important to limiting or eliminating lower back pain, as well as increasing hip mobility and getting rid of a pelvic tilt and other muscle imbalances. Spiritually, this practice is designed to help you become aware of your sacral chakra and unblock any stuck energy here, so you can discover what gives you pleasure and attract it to you.
